Seats & roles

On a team (F1) plan, each member holds a seat type (what they can consume) and a role (what they can do). The two are independent.

Seat types

• Admin — manages members, devices, and policy.
• Builder — creates services and private names.
• User — reaches what policy grants them.
• Lite user — a low-touch viewer: an agent, franchise staff member, or client who just opens what you share. Lite seats are how a field force scales cheaply — see Tiers (F1 Sales).

Roles vs seats

A role is a capability (admin / member); a seat is a quota bucket. A person can be a builder seat with a member role, for example. Access itself is decided by policy, default-deny.
